Fosroc Conplast SP430 SRV: A Superplasticising Slump Retaining Admixture for High-Quality Concrete
Fosroc Construction Chemicals manufactures Conplast SP430 SRV, a superplasticising slump retaining admixture that is used to improve workability retention and produce high quality concrete with improved durability and water tightness. This product is marketed and supplied by Space Arc Engineering, an authorized distributor of Fosroc.
Conplast SP430 SRV offers various advantages such as increased workability which reduces placing time, equipment, and labor element, self-compacting modified concrete that needs little or no compaction, reduced permeability that improves water penetration resistance, reduced segregation that improves surface finish, longer placing time due to its unique workability retention potential, improved pumpability that aids pumping by reducing line friction, dry packing, and slump loss due to temperature, and is chloride-free and safe in prestressed, reinforced, or marine concrete and compatible with sulphate resisting cement or marine aggregate.
Conplast SP430 SRV complies with the requirement of ASTM C 494-80 as a Type G Retarding, High-Range Water Reducing Admixture. It is a dark brown liquid based on a blend of specially selected organic polymers that offers plasticizing action to produce high workability concrete, which maintains workability for prolonged periods even at high ambient temperatures.
Fosroc offers a technical support service with the assistance of a team of industry experts.Conplast SP430 SRV has a specific gravity of 1.260 - 1.260 at 27°C, nil chloride content to IS:456, and air entrainment of less than 1.5%. It is generally compatible with other Fosroc Admixtures but it is recommended that all admixtures be added to concrete separately. Conplast SP430 SRV is primarily a highly efficient superplasticizer giving large increase in workability without significant changes in compressive strength .
It is recommended to determine the optimum dosage by site trials with the actual concrete mix. As a guide, the rate of addition is generally in the range 0.35 to 0.90 liters/100 kg cement for normal mixes and 0.5 to 1 liter/100 kg for high cement content mixes. The higher dosage is used where "flowing concrete" is required and may be found necessary to modify concrete mix proportions. For effective curing of Conplast SP430 SRV, it is recommended to use standard methods such as water spray, wet hessian, or a Concure curing membrane .
Conplast SP430 SRV is available in 200 liters 250kg packaging and has a minimum shelf life of 12 months when stored in unopened containers below 35°C. It is non-toxic, non-flammable, and any splashes should be washed off with water. If you come in contact with your eyes, rinse them thoroughly with water and consult a medical professional right away .
