Fosroc Conplast Crystalline: Uses and Advantages
To create concrete that is watertight, Fosroc Conplast Crystalline is an integral waterproofing additive. It is produced by Fosroc Chemicals India Private Limited, and their Authorized Distributor Space Arc Engineering markets and supplies all Fosroc products in India.
The benefits and uses of Fosroc Conplast Crystalline are as follows:
Uses:
Advantages:
Regulation Compliance:
Conplast Crystalline has been put through rigorous testing to ensure that it complies with a number of standards, including IS 516 Part-2 Sec-1, IS 3085-1965 (Reaffirmed 2021), ASTM C 1260, ASTM C 1202-12, AASHTO T 277, ASTM C 1556-04, 1152/C, 1152M-04, DIN 1048, and BSEN 12390 - part 8.
Description:
Conplast Portland cement and other components are perfectly blended to create crystalline, a grey powder. Crystal formations are created in minute capillaries in concrete when crystalline chemicals and water react, clogging the pores. Until all of the compounds have fully reacted, this process will continue.
Technical Support: For on-site advice and direction with mix design, dosage assessment, and trial optimization, Fosroc provides technical consulting services.
Properties:
Useful Instructions:
Conplast Crystalline can be used in conjunction with Fosroc's water-reducing additive, but it must be added separately to the concrete mixture. To obtain optimal outcomes, it is suggested to utilise the trial mix approach indicated in this datasheet for testing the attributes of mixes that comprise various admixtures.
Dispensing:
Concrete is waterproofed with Fosroc Conplast Crystalline, which is added as the concrete is being mixed. In order to stop water from entering through the pores and into the concrete, the product forms crystals inside the concrete. The application procedure include adding the solution to the concrete mixture and making sure it is thoroughly mixed, either at the batching plant or on location. The treated concrete should next be dried out in accordance with industry standards.
The benefits and uses of Fosroc Conplast Crystalline are as follows:
Uses:
- Admixture for watertight concrete that is integrated waterproofing.
- Ideal for use in all varieties of underground concrete foundations
- Suitable for precast units, retaining walls, deck slabs, water tanks, swimming pools, tunnel concreting, and retaining walls
Advantages:
- Simple to use and only has to be mixed with concrete
- serves as a comprehensive waterproofing system.
- has the ability to fill cracks up to 0.4mm wide over time.
- Good hydrostatic water pressure resistance on both surfaces
- compatible with the entire line of water-reducing admixtures from Fosroc
- more efficient because crystals grow in tiny capillaries
- reduces creep and shrinkage
- increases toughness
- acts as an admixture to reduce permeability in accordance with ACI 212-36-10

Properties:
- Look: A powdery grey colour
- 1400 kg/m3 for bulk density
- Use water-reducing and retarding admixture to adjust workability retention as necessary.
- All cements, including pozzolanic cements, are compatible with it.
- Compared to normal concrete, it has a much lower water permeability.
- Choose a time: confirms initial and final compliance with IS 2645-2003
- The characteristics of uniformity, such as pH, chloride content, specific gravity, etc., may change depending on the needs of the customer and the mix design. Please refer to our MTC supplied for the specific product configuration if you want to measure our product parameters consistently and continuously.
- Conplast Crystalline should be added at a rate of 0.8% of the total cementitious content by weight. The best amount of Conplast Crystalline to use for a given application should always be determined through laboratory and batch testing.
